Born in Italy, Marco has always been guided by curiosity-whether exploring music, experimenting in the kitchen, or approaching problems with a calm, analytical mindset.
He spent several years at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, contributing to initiatives aimed at improving global food systems. The experience gave him perspective on how complex large-scale change can be, and the patience required to persue it.
After shifting his career in the private sector, Marco realized that the impact that resonated most with him happened on a more direct, human scale. Volunteering at Refettorio offered exactly that: a place where food, community, and dignity come together in a tangible way. There he found the balance he was looking for-meaningful work carried out close to the people it touches.
Today, Marco brings a thoughtful, grounded approach to everything he does, combining his interest in food, music, and problem-solving with a steady commitment to practical, real-world change.
